Women With
Confident StyleYou're ready for a style makeover if you:
Believe me, I know from personal experience just how you feel!
If, like me, (and most women) you weren't born with the style gene don't feel bad about it. The fact is most of us didn't receive any image or style education. So you'll be pleased to know that you can learn how to look great. Achieving great style is a mix of science and art, and even the art can be learned to a certain extent!
While most of the content on this website is for women, the basics apply equally as well to men. In particular, if you're a man interested in improving your appearance, look at the articles in the "Style Makeover Steps" section in the menu on the left. Start with the "6 Steps to Style" article. Or use my image and style consulting services.
I became a certified Image Consultant in my quest to gain style knowledge. I've created this website so you don't have to do that!
Take advantage of my knowledge and practical experience with clients to learn how to gain your own style confidence. On this site I share with you:
It's hard not to notice that we now have access to a huge range of choices in clothes and accessories every season. The increasing number of fashion retailers going online is further extending our choices.
This is both good and bad. It's good because even if you are a non-standard size, or like particular colors and styles, you should be able to find something that works. However, it can also make it very confusing deciding what to buy and wear! It's easy to get it very wrong without some guiding principles.
In the past what we wore may have been influenced by our work place, our friends, the people we saw, and printed publications. Now we have many more sources of inspiration available to us through the internet. Photos of celebrities, our favorite bloggers and online magazines also now heavily influence designers, clothing manufacturers, retailers and us!
The latest fashion trend, that I feel may be around for some time to come, is to express our personality by mixing and matching clothing and accessories like never before. What this means is that it is now more important than ever to gain some style knowledge so you can appropriately express who you are and how you want to be seen.
I'm guessing you already understand at least a little about the importance of your appearance, both to your self esteem and to how others see you. That's how come you found yourself here -- right? However, watch my video below to see some real examples of how you judge people based on their appearance (and to meet me ;D).

I can think of oh so many reasons to learn how to improve your look and understand the messages your appearance conveys. (Feel free to add your own reasons as a comment at the bottom of this page.) For instance, you'll be able to:
You know that old joke: "How do you eat an elephant?" Answer: "One mouthful at a time!" Well, I recommend you approach achieving a style makeover in a similar way: one step at a time.
I've simplified the process by identifying 6 style makeover steps. Don't get overwhelmed. Simply assess yourself against the 6 steps and choose just one of the steps to get started. The steps are:
The aim is to understand who you are now, today. Then learn how to express who you are, and how you want to be seen, using your clothing and appearance. Also taking into consideration what's appropriate for the occasion and the people you'll be with.
Improving your appearance and finding your own unique style is an incredibly liberating thing to do. Like anything worth doing, it does take some time and effort (how much time and effort will depend on how big the changes are that you want to make). You'll find developing style is a journey, rather than a final destination. It will evolve as you learn more about yourself and about style. Also, what works for one stage of your life may not be suitable for another stage, as your:
However, when you have some style knowledge you'll find it's easier to adjust your look to your current situation. You can also make some fast changes that will immediately improve your appearance and have people noticing you for all the right reasons.
