When I started looking closely at online clothing shopping a few years ago I was amazed at how many stores only ship within their own country. I had assumed that having an online clothing store would naturally mean that the store would ship anywhere in the world. More and more online companies are offering worldwide shipping, or at least extending the countries they ship to, but there are still a lot that don't.

It is not always easy to find out where an online website does ship to. The information can be buried deep within the site. How disappointing to find that perfect dress only to get to the checkout and find out they don't ship to your country!

So, I began to plan an online clothing stores directory for my website. It will be ordered in a number of different ways: alphabetically, alphabetically within ship-to country and alphabetically within the country it's located. (Initially the order will be alphabetical).

Of course there are advantages to buying from online shopping websites located in the country you live in, which is why it's useful to see that information easily. Knowing the country in which the company is physically located gives you an idea of how long delivery may take and means you can find out what the postage back costs if you need to return on item.

Each directory listing will also include information such as whether the store caters for women, men or both, what style personalities the clothes will suit, which lifestyle categories (business, business casual and so on), the size range and any special sizes carried (such as petites, plus size or talls) and the price range.

Each listing will have online store ratings. There are 2 types of rating: my rating and your rating. You can add your rating and a review of the shopping website by adding a comment using the llink at the bottom of each directory listing. My ratings represent an overall rating for product range, quality and site useability.
