Jane's Jottings

Well, here we are at the end of another month!

October has been busy with Seasonal Wardrobe Updates, as well as some Style Discovery, Dressing Your Shape and Colour Analysis sessions. I've also been helping out at a local fashion retailer, Decjuba, here in Avalon Beach.

And I'm just about to go off traveling again for a couple of weeks. So, it was tempting to skip getting out a newsletter this month.

However, this is the 100th issue of Style Snippets! I started it back in September of 2009! 100 feels like quite an achievement!

I've been asked to write more articles on colour, and have been meaning to do so for quite some time. So, with this issue I have a new article on contrast levels, a related and important aspect to wearing your best colors.

Looking back at the first ever Style Snippets newsletter, it also contained a snippet on an aspect of colour. So it seems quite appropriate to be delving into more on that topic in this issue. Colour is also what got me started on this whole style journey, and has been and continues to be what draws people to me!

To mark the occasion of 100 newsletters I'd like to offer you, dear reader, a 15% discount for either my in-person colour analysis (if you're in Sydney), or my online color analysis. This offer is valid on orders through 15th December 2018 (you can use the service within 3 months of your order). Simply reply to this email to place an order and I'll get back to you.

Enjoy this month's Style Snippets. Yours in style

Your Personal Colors and Contrast

A key element of creating flattering looks, related to color, is contrast. When we wear colors that reflect both our personal coloring and our contrast level we create a pleasing harmony between our self and our clothes.
