Jane's Jottings

Hello {!firstname}

I'm now back home in Avalon on Sydney's northern beaches. After a wonderful two months away it's great to be home! I'm feeling refreshed and ready to start on some of the many style projects I have in mind!

One of the first projects on my list is finishing my first ebook: "Your Personal Style Formula: how to discover your own 'effortless' style".  Watch out for its release at the end of September.

Remember, discovering your personal style is one of "6 steps to style".

My vacation in the US was planned around a wedding in Seattle, which reminded me that I had received an update from Meigui -- a while ago I answered her question about what to wear as the mother of the bride. Here's the link to her original question : https://www.style-makeover-hq.com/mother-of-the-bride.html. Scroll down to the comments to see what she wore.

I've answered a couple more of your great style questions.

I also have a bonus for you to accompany a personalized eStyles program: tips on how to get the most out of your estyles program.

Enjoy this month's Style Snippets. Until next month, all the best

Jane

6 Steps to Style Reminder

Recently I've been getting some emails asking for more guidance on how to to tackle a style makeover.

An ongoing project for me is trying to provide you with a clear style roadmap. To try and address this I added a box to the top right of each web page: "Start here! 6 style steps". However, these emails are telling me some of you aren't seeing that information, or that it isn't clear enough.

I have now also changed the left hand navigation bar "Style Fundamentals" section to read "Style Makeover Steps" to be more consistent with my "6 steps to style" message.

If you have any suggestions on how I can make this message clearer please let me know by replying to this email. Your feedback will be much appreciated.

eStyle Program Tips: getting the most out of your eStyle program

After you've ordered your personalized eStyles program, to learn how to dress for your body shape, you'll be eager to dive straight in and look at all your recommended styling advice. (Don't forget to complete your body shape profile, or request a professional analysis if you'd like help with this). However, before you do, I highly recommend you first take a moment to  read "Using Your Style Solutions".

I'd also like to share with you what I go through with my in-person clients. The items in the article link below are the most important things to get your head around when dressing for your body shape -- they're your style "rules".

When you've worked with your rules for a while you start to get the feel for why they work, and when you understand "the why" you should be able to work out how to break a rule or two occasionally, if you want to, and still look great!
