Jane's Jottings

I seem to have slipped into creating Style Snippets every other month, rather than every month! I hope that still works for you?

As I start to work fewer shifts at Decjuba and spend more time working on and in my Style Makeover HQ business I'll get back to a more regular newsletter schedule.

Here in Sydney our spring weather is very changeable. It makes it challenging deciding what to wear when it's 29C one day and 19C the next!

And tricky doing a wardrobe changeover, as I found out recently! I picked a 29C day to do my own wardrobe changeover. It takes a bit of imagination to remember that we'll still get cooler days and evenings and therefore still need outer layers and slightly warmer clothes as well as summer clothes!

I've recently purchased some new storage boxes (from Ikea), which I'm finding really handy for storing off-season items. I label each box with the wardrobe category (tops, bottoms, dresses, outer layers etc) and store them at the top of my wardrobe, where it's harder for me to reach (so less useful for frequently accessed things).

I'm heartened to see that my Basic Wardrobe Planning article is one of the most popular articles on my website this month.

Use my new season's fashions articles (see below) to help you plan what you'll be wearing over the next weeks and months. Adding just 1 or 2 contemporary colours or styles into your wardrobe, or changing how you style your outfits can make your clothes feel new again.

And do contact me if you'd like my help. Simply reply to this email. If you're in Sydney I can help you in-person. If you're elsewhere I can help you online.

Enjoy this month's Style Snippets. Yours in style
