Jane's Jottings

Hello {!firstname}

I hope you've got Christmas and the holiday season's preparations under control and aren't feeling too stressed!

Here in Australia it seems the retail shops are not doing as well as they'd hoped, so the sales have started already!

Before you hit the sales for clothes and accessories remember it isn't a bargain if the item doesn't flatter you, if it doesn't go with at least 3 other things in your wardrobe (because you'll have to spend more money buying things to wear with it), or if you don't wear it!

To help you shop wisely at any time of year please read my article on shopping and my review of the Style Wise & Shop Smart ebook.

Enjoy this month's Style Snippets. Until next month, all the best.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

PS I always welcome your feedback, so please contact me with anything you'd like to see either on the website or in this newsletter (reply to this email or use the Contact Me link below).

Q: How can I create a seasonless wardrobe? from Trish of Coastal South California, USA

I am recently retired and determined to pare down the closet clutter and create a seasonless wardrobe.

A: You don't need to have a large wardrobe to look stylish. A small mix and match wardrobe is what's needed. This is also called a capsule wardrobe.

Q: Can I wear bright print blouses? from Tasi of El Paso TX, USA

I'm a plus size, apple shaped lady in her 60s. I've been told the bright print blouses that I love do not flatter my figure and are not age appropriate. Any suggestions on how I can dress and still enjoy my bright colors?

A:  There are ways to successfully wear just about anything. The trick is to know the rules and understand the reasons behind them.
